Hitler reportedly alive in Colombia in 1954, according to declassified CIA source

This a declassified CIA memo from 1955. It details a report from a source, codenamed “CIMELODY-3,” who claimed that Adolf Hitler was alive and residing in Colombia in 1954 under the alias “Adolf Schüttelmayer.” The source alleged that a former German SS officer, Phillip Citroen, had monthly contact with Hitler in the town of Tunja, Colombia. A photograph was reportedly shown as evidence, depicting Citroen alongside a man claimed to be Hitler.

However, the CIA memo itself does not confirm the validity of these claims. It explicitly states that the information could not be verified and was forwarded as a matter of interest. This document has fueled conspiracy theories but remains unsubstantiated by concrete evidence.
