Hegseth orders polygraphs and NDAs for 5,000+ Pentagon staff. Loyalty or jail.

PENTAGON TO POLYGRAPH 5,000+ EMPLOYEES IN LEAK CRACKDOWN

WarSec Hegseth plans mandatory lie detector tests and NDAs for everyone in Pentagon headquarters, from four-star generals to administrative assistants.

Deputy Secretary Steve Feinberg’s draft memo requires all Office of Defense Secretary and Joint Staff personnel to sign agreements prohibiting release of ANY non-public info without approval.

Random polygraphs would become routine. Refuse to sign? Face military justice.

Former officials call it loyalty enforcement, not security:

“The real concern is not about foreign intelligence. It’s about tamping down people who they think are leaking to the press.”

Mark Zaid, national security lawyer:

“This seems far more directed at ensuring loyalty… to intimidate the workforce and ensure tighter control.”

Pentagon already requires reporters to sign similar NDAs or lose credentials.

Hegseth has held just 6 press briefings since January.
