Most people probably missed that Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis made it illegal for Chinese nationals to buy property in the state. He signed SB 264 in May that bans even thise living here legally from purchasing property, further enhancing his xenophobia.t.co/jLOcbqAvha

Truth be told, China lets Americans do that freely, in Special Economic Zones, which is pretty much areas where foreign investors can come to and operate freely, like Apple does, with little to no control from China; for example, they can’t just coerce or force APPL into installing Chinese backdoors into their software etc.
