The FBI has arrested four members of a radical group who were allegedly planning a terror plot across Los Angeles, as well as attacks on members of ICE.
Officials took four alleged members of the Turtle Island Liberation Front into custody on Friday after plots of bombings, targeting at least five US companies across LA and Orange County on New Year’s Eve, were revealed.
The four taken into custody were revealed as Audrey Carroll, 30, Zachary Page, 32, Dante Gaffield, 24, and Tina Lai, 21. All were said to be Los Angeles natives and members of the radical group, according to to a press conference held by the FBI on Monday morning.
The targeted companies were said to be ‘logistic companies,’ but the specific companies have not yet been named.
Carroll, the alleged main organizer of the terror plot, organized what was called the Order of the Black Lotus. Each of those arrested were also members of the so-called ‘Order.’
Carroll described the order as ‘everything radical,’ according to the conference.
At Carroll’s home, law enforcement found multiple items including posters reading, ‘Death to America,’ ‘Death to ICE,’ as well as a copy of the ‘detailed’ terror plot, according to the conference.
Included in the terror plot uncovered, officials discovered ‘step by step instructions to build IEDs and listed multiple targets,’ as well as information that the bombs would detonate at midnight on New Year’s Eve.
‘What we are doing will be considered a terrorist act,’ Carroll said, according to the conference. Follow up Plans included attacks on ICE agents and vehicles with pipe bombs, ‘take some of them out and scare the rest.’
