LONG BEACH, Calif. (KABC) — A Long Beach father and stepmother have been arrested for torture and murder in the death of a 14-month-old girl, police said.
Officers responded to a local hospital regarding a possible child abuse incident on Nov. 7. The 14-month-old had been unresponsive and had signs of trauma, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
Detectives were notified later that they that the child was on life support and would not survive. She died on Nov. 10 as a result of abuse from her father and stepmother, according to LBPD.
