Something strange is happening over Palm Beach. Three separate aircraft breached restricted airspace near Mar-a-Lago on Friday, triggering a military response as F-16 fighter jets were scrambled to intercept them. The incidents occurred at 11:05 a.m., 12:10 p.m., and 12:50 p.m., forcing NORAD to deploy jets and even fire off flares to get the pilots’ attention.
These aren’t isolated cases. There’s been a pattern of airspace violations near Trump’s Florida residence in recent weeks, despite strict FAA restrictions whenever he’s in town. No civilian aircraft is supposed to be flying anywhere near that area without explicit permission—yet here we are, with multiple breaches in a single day.
The Secret Service is now investigating, trying to determine whether these were accidental mistakes or something more deliberate. NORAD insists the flares posed no danger, but the fact that they had to be used twice suggests these pilots weren’t responding to standard radio calls.
Maybe it’s just carelessness. Maybe it’s something else. Either way, F-16s don’t get scrambled this often over the same location without a reason.
