Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad has reportedly been poisoned in Russia after fleeing there following his ousting by rebel forces in Syria. Assad, who has been living in exile in Moscow since December 2024, began experiencing severe symptoms, including difficulty breathing, violent coughing, and choking, earlier today. Medical tests confirmed the presence of a toxic substance in his system, leading to fears of an assassination attempt.
