Orbán spoke one day after Trump. That timing screams coordination. Hungary sees almost no Antifa protests, yet Orbán used Ilaria Salis, an Italian activist jailed for attacking far-right demonstrators, to push his laws. She won a European Parliament seat and immunity. Orbán erupted, calling her rise a threat, a reason to criminalize anti-fascist activism.
“They came to Hungary and beat peaceful people in the street. In the Netherlands, Geert Wilders does the same. Parliament labeled Antifa a terrorist group. Police gain sweeping powers to track, arrest, and shut down anyone suspected. Wilders says Antifa cells threaten politicians, disrupt meetings, intimidate students and journalists. Every vague claim now carries force of law.

Trump made the threat louder. He tied Antifa to Kirk’s death and painted leftist ideas as pure danger.
