Sharing is Caring!

On Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, at about 10:22 p.m., officers from the Boston Police Harbor Patrol Unit arrested 42-year-old Robert Duffy of Charlestown and 32-year-old Jeremy Folcik of Bridgewater, Massachusetts, on Long Island, part of the Boston Harbor Islands. The arrests followed a hazardous drone operation near Logan Airport’s airspace. Both face trespassing charges, with additional fines or charges possible.

The incident began earlier that day when a Boston Police officer detected a drone operating dangerously close to Logan Airport. The department coordinated with multiple agencies to track the drone, leading officers to the suspects, who fled on foot when approached. A drone was found in Duffy’s backpack.

Duffy and Folcik were transported to District A-1 for booking. A search for a third suspect, believed to have fled by boat, is ongoing. The suspects are scheduled for arraignment in Dorchester District Court.
