The European Union and its member states are pouring billions of Euros into new agreements designed to stem the tide of illegal migrants, while they simultaneously open new legal immigration routes for millions of people.
Earlier this year the Italian government assisted the Tunisian state securing a 2-4 billion dollar loan from the IMF and pledged that Italy would take 4,000 Tunisian workers.
