The reaction says it all. Trump signs an executive order to block non-citizens from voting, and within hours, the Democratic National Committee, Chuck Schumer, and Hakeem Jeffries rush to sue. If their voters were all American citizens, why would they panic?
The executive order is straightforward. Proof of citizenship to register. No more counting mail-in ballots that show up days after Election Day. Federal funding cut for states that refuse to comply. These are not extreme measures. These are basic safeguards. Yet Democrats are treating it like the end of democracy.
The lawsuit argues Trump is overstepping his authority. They claim election rules belong to Congress and the states, not the president. But when Biden pushed sweeping mail-in ballot expansions and federalized voter registration through executive action, there was no outcry from the same crowd. The hypocrisy is staggering.
There’s no mystery here. The Democrats need those 15 million non-citizens. They built their future on it. Sanctuary cities. Driver’s licenses for illegals. Ballot access without ID. It was never about compassion. It was always about votes.
Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) has been tasked with cross-referencing voter rolls with federal databases. If the DNC’s real concern was election integrity, they would welcome the transparency. Instead, they claim it’s voter suppression. What are they afraid will be found?
Trump’s move forces a choice. If Democrats fight to keep non-citizens on voter rolls, they expose their plan. If they lose the lawsuit, they lose a voting bloc they spent years cultivating. Either way, the mask is slipping.
