CWR: Why this site transitioned to independent a while ago

This site transitioned to an independent position some time ago. The reason is simple: both the GOP and the DNC lie and manipulate their voters. We realized that we could not trust any party to define truth for us. Independence means that we do not pick a side in each event, and we do not let others decide what is true for us. Many readers may not have noticed, but this independence has been our guiding principle from the start.

We still reference parties and politicians when reporting events, but we do not assume they are right or wrong by default. Each claim, report, or statement is evaluated on its merits, not on which party said it. Critical thinking means examining the specific claim, checking primary sources, comparing multiple reports, and verifying facts independently.

We now have better tools. AI can help surface sources, contradictions, and context. But AI is not an authority and it should always be questioned. I question AI during fact checking as well. Tools assist the process. They do not replace human judgment.

Independence is not about picking the middle or pretending both sides are equal. Independence means refusing to let any party, institution, or website decide what is true for you.

This site does not exist to tell you what to think. The goal is to present information, show sourcing, expose contradictions, and let readers do the work themselves.

Left or right does not matter here. Both sides lie. Both sides manipulate. Both sides use fear and outrage to keep attention away from who actually holds power. The wealthy, the connected, and the unaccountable benefit when people fight each other instead of questioning authority.

Here, all sources are welcome. CNN, Breitbart, government reports, independent journalists. Facts do not belong to a party. If you think something is wrong, bring evidence. Debate it. Show receipts. Keep it grounded in reality.

No rage bait. No blind loyalty. No team thinking.

Only truth, even when it is uncomfortable.

Stay sharp. Stay independent. When you stop picking sides, you start seeing clearly.
