Costco announces a $15 Special Dividend… $6.7 billion to shareholders

Costco had their Q1 2024 Earnings announcement today and dropped that they will be giving a $15 special dividend on Jan 12, 2024…

This will total $6.7 billion paid out to shareholders.

The snapshot is going to be taken on Dec 28, 2023 in case anyone wants to capture the dividend. Stock I imagine drops right after the snapshot date.

But the stock is over $600 and you’ll likely be front run by bots. Oh well, let’s see the run up that comes with this.
