Washington is at it again. The uniparty already owns the $2.2 trillion deficit from continuing Biden’s spending, but now they want to pile on $5 trillion more with a debt ceiling hike that comes with no conditions.
DC has learned nothing. The uniparty already owns the $2.2 trillion deficit from continuing Biden’s spending. Rand Paul isn’t blocking the bill. He asked for a simple fix. If they refuse to negotiate, they own it all. The spending spree is bipartisan, and the consequences will be felt for generations.
The One Big Beautiful Bill Act, Section 4, lays it all out. 1,000 pages of rushed pork and loopholes, with zero enforceable spending caps. Congress keeps rubber-stamping blank checks while the Congressional Budget Office projects deficits ballooning past $2.4 trillion annually.
Paul’s amendment is the bare minimum. A 3-month reckoning would force lawmakers to confront the reality of their decisions. But real reform requires more. Slashing cost-plus contracts, block-granting Medicaid, and ending remittance tax loopholes could eliminate $500 billion+ in annual waste, yet Congress refuses to act.
Every debt vote is complicity. The reckoning is coming, whether Washington wants to face it or not.
