Heat waves always strain old power grids in big cities. High demand causes problems no matter who is mayor. Asking people to raise thermostats is basic conservation step but feels tone deaf when temps hit triple digits. Real fix needs better grid upgrades and more power supply not just telling residents to sweat more.
