City of Chicago tried to hide this video.

The city of Chicago on Monday released surveillance footage of a brutal “Loop Puncher” attack — but only after the Illinois Attorney General’s Office stepped in and pressured officials to comply with CWBChicago’s Freedom of Information request.

The Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) initially denied CWB’s public records request for the footage, citing multiple legal exemptions. But after the attorney general’s Public Access Bureau contacted the city about the denial, officials reversed course Monday afternoon.
