Both Chinese and Russian defensive systems were in Venezuela and the US just walked through it like it wasn’t there.
Nobody should have expected Venezuela to be able to hold of US forces. But they did not launch a single missile! or a single plane! And Manpads? they supposedly has around 5000 manpads that could have launched without connection to any sort of network. Nothing. The Moon was shining brightly that night, with almost a full Moon, making helicopters easily visible to anyone with a Manpad.
In my opinion, US actions in Venezuela have delayed any CCP invasion of Taiwan by years.
While Venezuela did not possess the absolute best from China or Russia, they had some of their better systems.
Millions of manhours will now be spent to learn as much as they can about what happened in Venezuela ~2 weeks ago.
Xi recently fired a bunch of his senior generals, for fear they could topple him. So now he has a bunch of inexperienced generals in charge. Well, their military as a whole is inexperienced, and now even more so.
US forces have mastered the integration of live battlefield information. China may just be starting to think about information integration.
Longer wavelength Russian and Chinese radars supposedly will detect US Stealth planes, but not provide targetting solutions or even general locations without some time consuming study.
The following videos are a bit dry, but they do outline some of the analysis that China must be doing at the moment (and will likely keep them busy for a year or more).
