China has furiously hit back at JD Vance, calling him ‘ignorant and impolite’ after the Vice President’s comments about the country’s economy.
Mr Vance quipped that the global markets were fuelled by “Chinese peasants”, with Beijing issuing a blistering response.
China has been left infuriated as Vance’s comments spread like wildfire on the Chinese internet. Lin Jian, a spokesperson for the Chinese Foreign Ministry, responded to the remarks during a press conference on Trump’s tariffs on Tuesday.
