Conservative political commentator Charlie Kirk was shot by a sniper at an event in Utah, and some witnesses have reported seeing blood coming out of his neck.

Disturbing video circulating online appears to show Kirk being hit by a bullet from a range as he began his speech at Utah Valley University.

KUTV reporter Heidi Hatch wrote on X that she was covering the event, which took place at Utah Valley University, when shots rang out

“Oh my God my son was just at the Charlie Kirk event on UVU campus said shots were fired Kirk may have been shot. My son is running,” she wrote.

“Charlie Kirk was hit. Blood coming out of his neck,” a witness from a Utah-based conservative media X page wrote.

Conservative influencer and Turning Point CEO Charlie Kirk has reportedly been shot after gunfire rang out at an event at Utah Valley University on Wednesday.

Chaos erupted at Kirk’s Q & A session and students ran for safety.

The right-wing firebrand, 31, was reportedly shot in the neck area and a suspect is in custody following the shooting.
