A massive fire tore through the 1-million-square-foot Medline Industries warehouse in Tracy today.
The blaze started just before 1:00 p.m. and quickly overwhelmed the massive structure.
Thick, black smoke could be seen from miles away as the building was declared a total loss.
The facility is a critical hub for medical-surgical supplies across the United States.
Fire Chief Randall Bradley confirmed the facility’s internal sprinkler system failed entirely.
