Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan were seen admiring Anant Ambani’s $1 million watch during at lavish pre-wedding party branded ‘enchanting’ by fellow attendee Ivanka Trump – just yards away from some of India’s poorest slums.
The couple were left in awe over the luxury Richard Mille timepiece sported by Indian billionaire Ambani, 28, at the weekend festivities in his parents home in Jamnagar – which cost an estimated $152 million.
Meanwhile, just yards away, some of the poorest people on earth work 17 hours daily to earn as little as $5 per shift.
‘You know I never really wanted a watch but after seeing that I was like, “watches are cool”,’ Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a cringeworthy video caught at the opulent wedding as his wife joked that she, ‘might want that.’
Video showed the couple examining the watch as they mingled with other guests at the event hosted by Ambani and his fiancée Radhika Merchant, whose VIP guestlist also included Bill Gates and Hillary Clinton.
