In a new Bankrate survey, 50% of U.S. adults say their overall financial situation is worse than it was in November 2020.

When it comes to a vote for president in 2024, 89% of Americans say the economy will be an important factor in their decision.

“Most Americans are not feeling very good – that’s the other part of the takeaway, and the primary reason for that is inflation,” Bankrate Senior Economic Analyst Mark Hamrick said.
