President Joe Biden told NBC’s Al Roker that his favorite memories from his time at the White House are of his grandchildren ‘sneaking up’ and jumping into bed with him and first lady Jill Biden.
Roker interviewed the president and first lady on the Truman Balcony Monday morning to kick off the annual White House Easter Egg Roll.
The longtime NBC weatherman asked Biden for his favorite memory from his more than three years living at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
‘Our kids jumping in bed with us – our grandkids, when they’re down here,’ Biden replied. ‘They’re sneaking up and jumping in bed with us. That’s my favorite memory. They love it. They love wandering through the halls. There’s two floors upstairs, a lot of bedrooms, the private residence and they just love coming down.’
Of the president’s seven grandchildren, only two are children, Baby Beau, who just marked his fourth birthday on March 28, and Navy Joan Roberts, 5, who the president acknowledged publicly for the first time in July.
