"Professor" Joe Biden is now a 2nd amendment expert. How they hell can anyone vote for this idiot based on his continued need to lie about EVERYTHING. https://t.co/7r8kezrVry

President Joe Biden seemed to think the way to win over more American voters was to announce that the Second Amendment was “never absolute” and that he’d “make sure” to do something about guns in a second term.
Biden’s comments, which included insulting Thomas Jefferson’s “tree of liberty” reference as a “bunch of crap,” came during a podcast released Monday. The interview with the “Smartless” podcast was originally recorded on March 28 and Biden brought along former Presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton.
Biden’s focus on disarming Americans was another example of the disconnect between his administration and the people. The president was asked during the podcast, which is hosted by Hollywood’s Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, what issues Americans should be focused on.
Naturally, the current state of the nation comes to mind, with raging anti-Israel demonstrations taking over college campuses, rampant inflation, a tanking economy, a crisis at the southern border, and a myriad of other serious issues brought on by the current administration. But Biden turned his focus on gun control.
“I think they should be focused on a couple of things: Number one, we’re going to, in a second term, God willing, (doesnt he mean imsheh allah) we’re going to make sure that we do something about gun violence in this country,” he said.
“The idea that we allow assault weapons to be sold with magazines with 100 rounds is just bizarre,” the 81-year-old added.
He insisted that Democrats did not actually say they wanted to take people’s guns away.
“The 2nd Amendment, which I, when I taught law school — the 2nd Amendment wasn’t absolute ever,” he said, clearly missing how absolute “shall not be infringed” actually is.
“You weren’t able to have a cannon when you were — this — the [tree of] liberty is watered with the blood of patriots, I mean, that’s a bunch of crap,” Biden continued, in “an embarrassing repetition of a false claim,” according to legal scholar and professor at George Washington University Law School, Jonathan Turley.
As for Thomas Jefferson’s quote, it reads in full: “The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.”
