Barron Trump, age 19, has reportedly earned $40 million before taxes through his stake in World Liberty Financial, the family’s blockchain venture. After taxes, that haul drops to around $25 million. Still more than most hedge fund analysts make in a decade.
The numbers come from recent financial disclosures and reporting by Forbes. The company launched in September 2024 with a “gold paper”, a Trump-branded version of a white paper and began selling tokens tied to a stablecoin and digital asset platform. Donald Trump holds a 52.5% stake. The remaining 22.5% is split among his sons. If divided evenly, Barron holds 7.5%.
World Liberty Financial has sold over $550 million in tokens. After the first $30 million, revenue flowed directly to the owners. That puts Barron’s estimated cut at $39 million before taxes. The IRS took a bite, but the after-tax figure still lands near $25 million. Not bad for a college freshman at NYU’s Stern School of Business.
Donald Trump himself made $57.7 million from the venture in 2024. That figure only covers the first five months. The rest of the year’s earnings haven’t been disclosed yet. If the pace holds, the former president could clear over $130 million annually from crypto alone.
The family’s crypto empire is more than a side hustle. It’s a full-scale operation. The platform includes a USD1 stablecoin, claims full backing by U.S. dollars and Treasuries, and has drawn foreign investment interest. A $2 billion UAE deal to acquire a stake in Binance was reportedly facilitated through the same network.
Barron’s role isn’t ceremonial. He’s listed as a cofounder and “Web3 ambassador.” Trump himself said in an interview, “He talks about his wallet. He’s got four wallets or something, and I’m saying, ‘What is a wallet?’” That was September 2024. Nine months later, Barron’s wallet is heavier than most Wall Street portfolios.
The numbers are real. The structure is tight. And the profits are stacking.
