At least 18 hospitalized after a mass shooting at an Arcadia Lake party in Edmond

The Arcadia Lake campground in Edmond is currently cordoned off after a mass shooting at a “Sunday Funday” party last night. Police received multiple calls around 9:00 PM reporting gunfire at a pavilion where a large group of young people had gathered. Witnesses described “multiple men with rifles” opening fire before fleeing into the surrounding woods. While no deaths have been reported, the injury toll is climbing as victims continue to show up at metro hospitals. Edmond Police confirmed that at least 18 people have been hospitalized, with a total of roughly 23 injured. The victims are reportedly between the ages of 16 and 30.

“A shooting at a lake party in Oklahoma sent nearly 20 people to the hospital Sunday night.

By midday Monday, local officials said 18 people have been hospitalized so far as a result of the shooting near Arcadia Lake, which is about a dozen miles north of Oklahoma City.

Roughly 23 people were injured, according to authorities, but it was unclear how many of them were shot. No deaths have been reported, but several people were listed in critical condition the next day.”

Witnesses reported multiple shooters with rifles fled into the woods

“A third person reported, “Mass shooting right now at Lake Arcadia. Anyone know what’s going on? 50 police cars right be.”

A local resident added, “Friend was fishing at Arcadia said he heard like 30 gun shots.”

Another wrote, “Just got out of there. Crazy. Multiple men with rifles.””
