As of June 19, 2024, the New Mexico wildfires have resulted in at least one fatality and the destruction of approximately 1,400 structures. The fires, known as the South Fork Fire and the Salt Fire, have collectively burned more than 20,000 acres. Unfortunately, both fires remain uncontained, and their cause is currently under investigation. The situation is critical, and authorities are deploying all available resources to control the wildfires and protect affected communities.
