Alarming rise in social isolation

Sharing is Caring!

Startling new data has revealed a concerning trend in societal connections, with a significant increase in the percentage of individuals reporting having no close friends. Between 1990 and 2021, the number of men without close friends skyrocketed from 3% to a staggering 15%, while women saw a similar increase from 2% to 10%.

These findings paint a troubling picture of social isolation and disconnection in modern society. The rise in individuals lacking close friendships raises serious concerns about mental health and well-being, particularly among men who appear to be disproportionately affected by this trend.
