NY Firefighters face repercussions for booing Letitia James during protest; threatened with re-“education” for dissent.

Sharing is Caring!

It’s outrageous! NY firefighters express their First Amendment right to protest, and what do they get? A letter threatening those who dared to voice their dissent against Letitia James with re-“education.” This move reeks of authoritarianism, turning NYC into a Marxist nightmare where political differences are treated as crimes. It’s a blatant attack on freedom of expression, and it’s high time someone stood up against this oppressive nonsense.

FDNY Commissioner Laura Kavanagh is hunting down smoke-eaters and other staffers who mercilessly booed New York Attorney General Letitia James – and cheered in support of Donald Trump – during a department promotion ceremony this week, The Post has learned.

FDNY Chief of Department John Hodges fired off an email to other agency honchos warning a reckoning led by the department’s Bureau of Investigation and Trials was coming over the chorus of boos and chants of “Trump” that James received at Thursday’s event.

“BITS is investigating this, so they will figure out who the members are,” Hodges wrote FDNY chiefs Saturday in the letter obtained by The Post.

“I recommend they come forward. I have been told by the commissioner it will be better for them if they come forward and we don’t have to hunt them down,” he continued.

Prior to her appointment as Fire Commissioner, Kavanagh spent several years in the FDNY, acting as a key leader in the agency’s response to major incidents including the Ebola outbreak of 2015 and the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.[3]

She has never served as a firefighter.
