Most Americans do not know that the US census currently counts, for purposes of voting power, all people in a district, regardless of citizenship!

You know, Elon Musk has a point worth thinking about. It turns out the US census counts everyone in a district, whether they’re citizens or not, for voting power. Recently, Senate Democrats voted against an amendment to change that, allowing the counting of illegal immigrants for congressional seats and electoral college votes.
This might seem like a small detail, but because most undocumented folks are in Democrat states, it could shift the House and Presidential vote by around 5% to the left. That’s enough to change the whole balance of power!
It makes you think about why the Biden administration is handling immigration the way it is, doesn’t it? Record levels of arrivals and not many deportations—it’s all connected.
“Do you regret using the word ‘illegal’ to describe immigrants last night?”
