Most receipts are coated in BPA. This chemical is used to assist the printing process of the receipt. But when it’s absorbed into the body it can cause diseases or developmental problems. Using hand sanitizer helps the BPAs from the receipt into your body, increasing risks of adverse effects. Instead, using soap and water after touching a receipt is a much better choice.
