While Pres. Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, received nothing more than a slap on the wrist from the Justice Department for two tax charges related to earnings from foreign entities, fully 57% of U.S. registered voters say the president took $5 million of bribes from foreign nationals.
On Tuesday, the news broke that Hunter Biden had brokered a plea deal regarding two tax charges and a separate gun charge – a deal being characterized as preferential treatment and a miscarriage of justice, given the severity of the bribery accusations by a trusted informant in a report the FBI is refusing to share with Republican lawmakers and the American people.
A national survey of registered voters, conducted June 14-15 by The Harris Poll and HarrisX, finds that:
- 57% of voters say Joe Biden took $5 million bribe as vice president.
- Two-thirds (66%) of voters say Joe Biden lied by claiming he never discussed Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings with his son.
- 83% say the FBI report should be made public, and
- 55% say FBI not really investigating the possibility that Joe Biden took a $5 million bribe.
Although Republican and Democrat voters greatly disagree, the results for Independent voters mirror the overall results for all respondents combined:
-
57% of Independents say Joe Biden took $5 million bribe as vice president.
-
Two-thirds (68%) of Independent voters say Joe Biden lied by claiming he never discussed Hunter Biden’s foreign business dealings with his son.
-
82% of Independent voters say the FBI report should be made public, and
-
50% of Independent voters say FBI not really investigating the possibility that Joe Biden took a $5 million bribe.
