Middle managers are in a tough spot right now.
They’ve been a target for layoffs as companies look to lean out their organizations, but that doesn’t look like it’s changing (in the short term).
The reduction of middle managers has been a theme of the last 2 years so there are less decision makers between the CEO and your individual contributors.
This will allow them to move faster to focus on shipping products vs bureaucracy getting in the way to become more efficient.

• Big tech goes full remote, so does everyone else
• Big tech hires Spring 2020-2022 1H, so does everyone else.
• Big tech calls for RTO mandates, so does everyone else
• Big tech starts to lay people off, so does everyone elseSo as big tech reduces middle managers…does everyone else follow?
