Incoming Trump administration may charge Letitia James with criminal conspiracy

President-elect Donald Trump’s attorney, Mike Davis, has threatened to charge New York Attorney General Letitia James with criminal conspiracy. This came after James’ ongoing legal actions against Trump, including a civil fraud case where Trump and his sons were found guilty of overvaluing properties.

Davis accused James of using “lawfare” to target Trump and vowed to hold her accountable if she persists with her legal attacks. He declared that the Trump administration would take legal action to put James in prison for conspiracy against rights if the efforts continue.

The threat was made on November 7, 2024, during an appearance on “The Benny Show,” hosted by conservative columnist Benny Johnson. It has been widely reported in the media and signals potential legal retaliation following Trump’s win in the 2024 election.
