The FEMA supervisor who instructed disaster relief officials to “avoid homes advertising Trump” has been relieved of her duties. But that isn’t enough—she should be free and prosecuted!

Sharing is Caring!

A FEMA supervisor, Marn’i Washington, instructed disaster relief workers in Lake Placid, Florida, to bypass homes with Trump signs following Hurricane Milton. This directive, conveyed both verbally and in group chats, reportedly led to at least 20 Trump-supporting households missing out on critical FEMA aid.

Despite the severity of these allegations, Washington has only been relieved of her duties, not fired or prosecuted—a response many are calling insufficient given the accusations of political discrimination. Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has launched a state investigation, condemning the act as targeted discrimination against Trump supporters. FEMA, acknowledging the incident, has begun its own internal review and is reaching out to the affected residents to ensure they receive assistance.
