Spain deploys thousands to aid flood recovery efforts.

Sharing is Caring!

Spain’s government has responded decisively to the catastrophic floods that devastated Valencia, sending an additional 5,000 soldiers and 5,000 police officers to assist with recovery efforts. This announcement was made by Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez on November 2, 2024, following the floods that claimed the lives of over 200 individuals.

In addition to the military and police deployment, around 100,000 volunteers have registered to aid in the recovery efforts. These volunteers are actively involved in clearing mud and debris from streets, homes, and businesses in the affected areas.
