Reports indicate that the American Heart Association (AHA) received funding from Procter & Gamble (P&G), a company that produces Crisco Oil. The AHA accepted $20 million (in today’s dollars) in funding from P&G, which coincided with the AHA’s recommendation to limit saturated fats, a move that benefited P&G’s business interests.
