Cable TV is in freefall, expected to drop to 70 million subscribers by the end of 2024, down from a peak of 105 million in 2010.

Major companies like Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery are writing off billions in linear assets as streaming takes over.

Even with pay TV still generating revenue, cable channels like VH1 and TBS have turned into rerun wastelands, while sports remain the only thing keeping cable afloat.
