Massachusetts town on lockdown after dusk to stop mosquito virus spread; New Hampshire resident dies; NYC sprays.

Massachusetts: Several towns in Massachusetts are taking precautions due to the threat of Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), a rare but deadly mosquito-borne virus. Some towns, like Plymouth, have closed public parks and fields from dusk to dawn to reduce the risk of mosquito bites.

New Hampshire: A resident of Hampstead, New Hampshire, has sadly passed away after contracting EEE. This is the first reported case in the state in a decade.

New York City: The NYC Health Department is conducting mosquito spraying in parts of Manhattan and Brooklyn to mitigate the spread of West Nile virus. Spraying is scheduled for the evenings to reduce mosquito activity.
