Oprah Winfrey’s speech at the DNC was something else.
Last night, Michelle Obama and Bernie Sanders both demonized wealthy people in their speeches but somehow billionaire Oprah Winfrey got a pass and was welcomed at the convention hall tonight.
In the very opening of her speech, Winfrey accused Republicans of trying to scare voters, something the Democrats have been doing non-stop for years now. She accused Republicans of trying to pit Americans against each other, something that Democrats have been doing non-stop for years now.

“Even abbreviated, Clinton’s appearance was tricky for his party,” the Associated Press noted in its writeup of his speech for the COVID-era convention, where Clinton pre-recorded a five-minute presentation that ran after one from former President Jimmy Carter.
The early-evening Tuesday slot “was all the former president was allotted by a party eager to show it is moving out of the politics of the past,” the AP declared.

There’s been some next level trolling at the DNC this week, with Mia covering earlier on Wednesday the shenanigans involving Austin-based entertainer Alex Strenger. The Daily Wire’s Matt Walsh has also been showing up around the convention, though not exactly as himself. He’s been appearing as a supporter of the Harris-Walz ticket, while also looking to promote his upcoming film, “Am I Racist?”
