Bankruptcies Going Through The Roof In Germany

Sharing is Caring!

The number of bankruptcies in Germany has been rising significantly. According to Germany’s Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), corporate bankruptcies increased by 26.5% in the first quarter of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023. This trend is expected to continue, with experts predicting around 20,000 corporate insolvencies by the end of the year.

The increase is attributed to a challenging financial climate, impacted by global events, high energy prices, and rising interest rates. While the situation is concerning, experts believe it represents a natural thinning of businesses that are not viable in the long term.
