Here’s the information related to the violent robbery in Denver involving a Venezuelan gang:
On June 26, 2024, eight suspects stormed and robbed Joyeria El Ruby, a family-owned and operated jewelry store in Denver’s West Highland neighborhood. The incident occurred around 2 p.m. at the store located at 5108 W. 38th Ave. The criminals were caught on security cameras, and many of them were not wearing masks or attempting to disguise their identity. They grabbed gold chains from racks and stole merchandise from display cases. The suspects then loaded their loot into duffel bags and fled. The thieves were armed with handguns and threatened store employees. All the suspects are believed to be Hispanic men in their 20s.
As for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), there have been investigations into crimes tied to suspected members of a violent Venezuelan gang, including incidents such as sex trafficking in Louisiana and the point-blank shooting of two New York City police officers. However, specific details about their involvement in this Denver robbery have not been publicly disclosed by the DHS.
