Even with a $2T deficit we’re still headed right into a recession

As of the past 12 months, the federal budget deficit in the United States totaled $2.2 trillion. This amount is up 64% from the $1.4 trillion deficit in Fiscal Year 2022 and more than twice as large as the deficit prior to the beginning of the pandemic.

The final revision for Q1 24 GDP is in, and it’s not pretty. 1.4%
