- Derbent Synagogue Attack:
- A synagogue in Derbent, Russia, was targeted in a shooting. During the attack, the synagogue was set ablaze, according to local officials. The Orthodox church next to the synagogue was also set on fire. Emergency services are working to extinguish the fire. This incident occurred recently.
- Additionally, there was a shooting in Makhachkala (Dagestan) targeting policemen around the same time, but it’s unclear if the two incidents are related.
- Massive Explosion at Gas Station:
- In Dagestan, a massive explosion occurred at a gas station, resulting in 35 fatalities and 115 injuries. Among the injured, 16 were children. This incident is the deadliest in Russia since April 2022.
- Church Shooting in Kizlyar:
- Five women were killed in a shooting at a church in Kizlyar, Dagestan. Five others, including a police officer and a national guardsman, were injured. Two of the injured are in critical condition
