54% range loss in cold weather for some EV models.

A recent test by ADAC, the German automobile club, has shown that electric vehicles (EVs) can lose up to 54% of their range in cold weather. This significant finding emerged from their testing of various EV models under controlled conditions at 0°C (32°F). The study revealed considerable discrepancies between the manufacturers’ claimed range and the actual performance in cold temperatures.
